Peer Navigator Program
For Breast Cancer patients and survivors
WomenCARE and Stanford University teamed-up to provide a three year clinical
trial that matched breast cancer survivors with women who were newly diagnosed.
The Peer Navigator Program provided counseling and support to women who had
just learned they have breast cancer. Trained and supervised breast cancer survivors
helped newly diagnosed women navigate the first three months of treatment.
We are now working toward data dissemination from both the academic researcher
and community service provider perspectives. Please stay tuned for further updates
regarding progress on data analysis.
