- Catherine Soehner, Medical Librarian at University of California Santa Cruz, has offered her services to WomenCARE. Please feel free to contact her for help conducting research – “how to”, “where to get started”, etc. If you wish to visit the campus, go to Campus Libraries for help accessing medical journals, without paying a fee. (There are many libraries on campus; The Science and Engineering library is the best one for medical issues.) - Community Breast Health Project: A non-profit, San Francisco Bay Area Resource Center dedicated to providing information and support to people dealing with breast cancer or with breast health issues.
- Delaney's Place: A boutique in Soquel, CA, committed to enhancing the appearance and physical comfort of women faced with a cancer diagnosis. Services include professional bra and prosthesis fittings. Products include specialty lingerie, headwear, sleepwear for night sweats, year-round swimwear, oncology/radiation friendly skin care, and natural anti-nausea drops.
- Human Care Alliance: A collaboration of over 60 nonprofit Health and Human Service Agencies serving Santa Cruz County, CA.
- Katz Cancer Resource Center: Provides access to information and services related to all aspects of cancer care, at no charge. Supportive certified oncology nurses (RNs) provide guidance in sorting through questions about cancer, assistance in coordinating care and referrals to support services like Dominican Home Health.
- Mother's Living Stories Project: An effort to help mothers who have cancer to record their life stories and personal legacies for their children and loved ones. Ill mothers are paired with trained volunteer listeners to review their lives and record their stories. Located in the San Francisco, CA, Bay area.
- Next Step (The): A boutique in Los Gatos, CA, for women who have experienced breast cancer and have had a lumpectomy or mastectomy; products include speciality bras, swimsuits, lingerie, hair and skin products.
- Santa Cruz County Government: Official municipal site includes information about Santa Cruz County services, departments, meetings, events, and the community.
- Stanford Cancer Center: A clearinghouse for information, based at Stanford University. Includes links, events, and local organizations.
- UCSF Medical Center (The Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center): Information on the programs, services and research of the center and educational resources about breast cancer and its treatment.
- Women's Center at UC Santa Cruz: The UCSC Women's Center affirms the dignity and diversity of all women. The Center continues and challenges feminist traditions by creating community space for all women and allies to achieve individual and social change.
