Michelle Ney came to WomenCARE as a client in 2006, joining the Board in May of 2008. She is originally from Los Angeles, where she worked in the entertainment industry and spent many fun filled years working on the lot at Universal Studios. She left LA seeking a better quality of life and moved to Santa Cruz in 1996, and now couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Michelle’s professional experience is diverse, ranging from Architecture and Construction Technology, Administrative and Facilities Management, and Marketing and Project Management. She currently works as the Executive Assistant to the CTO of a large consumer electronics company. Michelle is a lifelong animal advocate and has been adopting special needs cats since 2002, providing them a safe loving environment. In her spare time she enjoys socializing and helping out in her community in other ways. She enjoys volunteering backstage at the annual Santa Cruz Blues Festival
