The topic for WomenCARE’s free monthly Complementary Treatment Forum is

MANAGING SIDE EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENT

Saturday, January 28, 2012, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Facilitated by Bonnie Jones, Certified Nutritionist, and Katayoon Hakim, Licensed Acupuncturist

THIS FORUM IS OPEN TO ALL WOMEN LIVING WITH CANCER

Learn how complementary therapies can help manage side effects of treatment such as fatigue, nausea, low blood counts, constipation, diarrhea, etc.  We will focus on

  • Strategies to support healing during surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation
  • Eating well to reduce side effects and improve outcome of treatment
  • Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as supportive cancer care

The Complementary Treatment Forum is an educational and collaborative group for women who want a safe place to learn, sort through, and share information about the many complementary cancer treatments.
