LaVerne Coleman has worn many hats since she joined WomenCARE in 2001; she’s currently our Director of Programs. She came to us with 13 years experience as a Volunteer Program Director for The Santa Cruz AIDS Project, and, here, she is responsible for creating, implementing and managing WomenCARE’s various volunteer programs, which provide over 4000 hours of service each year. She also empties the garbage, periodically organizes and cleans the office closets, and she's adamant about recycling. Her love for working with WomenCARE’s dozens of volunteers is a reflection of her passion for other cultures and other languages. LaVerne’s greatest love is travel.
